Alice Morgan

Dec 3, 1920–June 23, 2020

 

On June 23, 2020, Alice “Rose” Morgan received her wings and went to sing with the angels.

 

She was born Dec 3, 1920, at Rock Camp, to the late Herschel and Anna (Neece) Clay.

 

Rose was a lifelong member of Rock Camp Methodist Church where she served 40 years as the church treasurer.

 

She was a home maker in the true sense of the word. She was a past member of Kitts Hill Homemaker’s Club. Rose enjoyed traveling, gardening, and most of all taking care of her family.

 

In addition to her parents, Rose is preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Robert Morgan; and one grandson, Jason D. Morgan; siblings Willard, Earl, Ima, Dan, Oscar, Bill, Eugene and Bob Clay.

 

Rose is survived by her son, Robert L. Morgan; daughters Judi (Rick) Willis and Janet (David) Oliver; and one brother David (Pat) Clay. Grandchildren Alicia (Mike) Large, Chase (Sarah) Oliver, Kim (Paul) Oliver Sullivan; great grandchildren Natasha, Nathaniel, and Natalia Morgan; Sam and Tanner Large; Justin and Olivia Sullivan, and James and Norah Oliver.

 

Visitation will be Friday at Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 S. Seventh St., Ironton, starting at 10 a.m., followed by funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery.

Kenneth Dishman

Kenneth Dishman, 86, of Chesapeake, died on Sunday, June 21, 2020.

 

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, with Pastor Roger Wireman officiating. Burial will follow the service at Chesapeake Memorial Gardens, Chesapeake. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday.

 

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Shriners Children Hospital, Cincinnati.

Della Ferris

Della Mae Hodge Ferris, 60, of Proctorville, died on Tuesday, June 23, 2020, at The Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, West Virginia.

 

Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Friday at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville. Funeral service will be conducted 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Langdon Cemetery, Chesapeake.
