David Sherman

David Jerome Sherman, 59, of Scottown, passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington, West Virginia.

He was born Oct. 8, 1963, in Prestonsburg, Kentucky.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Douglas Sherman; a sister, Linda Lou Sherman; maternal grandparents, Capt. USN Mike Blevins and Mary Etta Pelfrey Blevins, of Prestonsburg, Kentucky; paternal grandparents, William Stewart Sherman and Ethel Mae Clifton Sherman, of Ironton; eight brothers and sisters; and a stepdaughter, Cheyenne Smith.

He is survived by his companion, Cynthia Love; daughters, Calisto Smith and Cayela (Ryan) Sherman Williams; mother and stepfather, Mikey Mary Sherman-Hinds and Terrance Hinds, of Newark; brother, Doug (Beth) Sherman; sister, Brenda (Peter) Sherman Groves; and numerous nieces and nephews.

David was the owner of Honda Heaven dealership in Scottown.

Private family services will be held. Hall Funeral Home and Crematory in Proctorville, is assisting the family.
