Mr. and Mrs. J. Gordon Mason Jr. are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary. The couple was married on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 23, 1951, at First Baptist Church in Ironton.

A celebration of their life together was shared this Thanksgiving with their children, Mary Beth and Mark Baker, Sharon and Richard Bentley and Joe and Tracy Mason, and their grandchildren, Mariah and Matt Nierman, J.G. Mason and Mary Page Mason.

Joan is a retired Ironton City Schools teacher and Gordon retired from Ashland Inc. Both are alumni of Marshall University.
