Rhonda L. Dunfee, 50, of Ironton, died Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011, at her residence. The Lawrence County native was born Feb. 9, 1961, the daughter of the late Carl Ray Thornton and Betty Lou Hilgenberg Thornton.

Rhonda was a graduate of Dawson-Bryant High School and received her bachelor of science degree from Ohio University Southern campus. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of the King in Ironton. She was also in the Army Reserve.

She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Rachelle Gravely of Columbus; daughter, Lisa Gravely of Ironton; three brothers, Kevin Thornton of Flatwoods, Ky., Doug Thornton of Ironton and George Thornton of Concord, N.C.; a sister, Carla Thornton of Trumble, Fla.; and six grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at the Church of the King, 801 S. Fifth St., Ironton, with Pastor Butch Deer officiating.
