Juanita Murrell

Juanita F. Murrell, 60, of Ironton, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011, from her home.

The Lawrence County native was born June 6, 1951, the daughter of the late Thomas E. and Parthena Boggs McGlone. She was preceded in death by her husband Bobby W. Murrell.

Mrs. Murrell attended Rock Hill Schools and was a nurse’s aide at Bryant’s Health Center. She was a member of the Main Street Church in Coal Grove. Juanita enjoyed spending time with her family and she loved the Lord.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a brother, James McGlone; four sisters, Sarah Murrell, Carmonelle Daniels, Dorothy McGlone, and Anna McGlone and a step daughter, Rebecca Murrell.

She is survived by a daughter, Chonda Patton and Tim Perkins of Ironton; a son, James Adams of Cincinnati; a daughter, Robin Black and Danny Salyers of Ironton; a daughter, Martha Arrington and Danny Martin of Cheseapeake; a son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Amy Murrell of Ironton; a stepson and daughter-in-law, Russell and Kelly Murrell of Murphy, Texas;

a stepson and daughter-in-law, Robert and Santos Murrell of New Braunsfel, Texas; a stepson, Ronald Murrell of Huntington, W.Va.;

a step daughter, Rhonda Murrell of Ironton; two brothers and sisters-in-law, William Clifford and Lydia McGlone of McDermott and Dewey Alva and Charlotte McGlone of Waterloo. She was the proud grandmother of 12 grandchildren, one great grandchild, 16 step grandchildren, and six step greatgrandchildren. She was loved by many nieces, nephews and by special friends, Teresa Harmon and Wanda Adkins.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Phillips Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Bartram officiating. Burial will follow in Buckhorn Cemetery. Friends may call 6- 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mildred Majher

SOUTH POINT — Mildred Maxine Majher, 88, of South Point, formerly of Huntington, W.Va., died Friday, Dec. 9, 2011. Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec.18, at Chesapeake Kingdom Hall. Phyllis Peslis

HUNTINGTON, W.Va., Phyllis Faye Scott Peslis, 81,of Huntington, died Sunday, Dec. 11, 2011, at Jo-Linn Health Center in Ironton, Ohio. Arrangements are pending at Klingel-Carpenter Mortuary.
