Section of Kemp Street blocked for water repair

Published 10:46am Friday, December 7, 2012

Crews are working on a water line repair on Kemp Street between South Eighth and Ninth streets.

The section of street has been closed to allow workers to repair the break and the hole in the street.

Ryan Watts of Ironton’s water distribution department said he expected the road and the leak to be repaired today and there is no boil water advisory at this time.

Major water leak for a week. Large 6 inch line lost an enormous amount of water for a week! Let your house line leak and they act like its gold and charge like it is too. Workers dug a hole big enough to bury a car. It’s going to cost a lot more to fix the road now because workers couldn’t find hole after all that time. I feel for the workers.
