Do not blame Republicans for ‘Obamacare’

Published 12:07pm Wednesday, February 20, 2013

Why is it that no budget has been passed since Harry Reid became head of the Senate?

First, he is a Democrat who will not bring a bill up for a vote if it would give us a smaller national debt.

Under George Bush for eight years, the national debt went up $5 trillion. He was labeled a big spender, which he was, and his motto was, “give me what I want and you can put your ‘pork’ in and I’ll sign it.”

Both parties took advantage of this and it raised our debt. Bush was wrong on this also.

For Obama’s first four years, and even now, he has repeatedly stated that nothing that he wanted would raise the national debt “one dime.” Well, it hasn’t raised it one dime. It has raised it over 56 trillion dimes and even now he expects us to continue to believe his plain lies by making the same statement again.

How long will it take Democrats to see it is not the Republicans that want more debt?

Obama and Harry Reid refuse to discuss cutting wasteful spending and want to spend more and more.

Obama said he would cut the deficit in half in his first term, but he is within just over 4 trillion dollars from making more debt than all presidents before him combined. By the end of his next four years he will have surpassed all the other presidents combined, that is if our country isn’t bankrupt.

When will you open your eyes to the truth? Remember G. Bush isn’t in charge anymore. It falls squarely on President Obama and the Democrats, who still want to blame someone else.

As Jim Crawford says, it is time to work together.

Well, the Republicans do want reform. If you think things are bad now, just wait until 2014 when most of the taxes in “Obamacare” take effect.

Already my taxes have increased, my insurance has raised and everybody will have to have insurance in 2014 or pay a penalty.

So, you wanted it, now you got it. Enjoy it.

You can’t blame Republicans since not one voted for “Obamacare.” So don’t complain next year Democrats.

79tiger! Please tell me how and why a party that controles 1/3 of the Government (Not counting the Supreme Court) does or wants to hold up everything the government (The best in the world) some say ,tries to do to help its citizens and protect the very rich small percentage of the population?

Homer I’m on Social Security , and pay taxes on what I draw from my Ira.I have a suplimental plan and do most of my precriptions through the VA. My taxes have not gone up and my insurance has not increased. Surely you must be rich ot those rotten Democrats are just picking on you. Quit whinning about the democrats. Did you not participate in the last election? There will be others, but at our age we may not be here to participate. Thank God that you are doing good and share with others. I promise you will be a happier man. Remember God loves us and his word has told us what is to be before the end.

@poor richard. Please explain to me how a party that only controls 1/2 of Congress is to blame for a policy that was proposed by a Democrat President and sold to the Senate leader, also a democrat, as a negotiating tool and all voted for and was signed by a Democrat president. Were you asleep when the taxes were raised on the top 1% of income earners negating the Bush tax cuts but the president wants more? The 1%’ers are taxed at the Clinton rate. That not good enough for you now?

Mick– without due regard to the less privileged members of our society.
You do realize Mick that you sound more and more like Obama?
I for one would like it if the less privileged would take their trash home and throw it out their back door instead of throwing it out the car windows and trashing our county roads.

Can’t wait till 2014 when $40 to $50,000 wage earners have to pay $50 to $200 a month penalty for not having health insurance.

But DO blame the republicans for the sequester perpetuated to protect the rich and wealthy 1% of the population. This single event has openly and without disguise shown all Americans what the republicans are all about and it has nothing to do with the betterment of our country. REPUBLICANS HAVE BECOME THE BANE OF OUR SOCIETY!

I too, Homer, welcome your comments.

Homer; It is good to see you back in print again. I concur with your comment, “it is not the Republicans that want more debt.” They just want to put more money in their own pockets without due regard to the less privileged members of our society. History bears my statement out. Your statement “As Jim Crawford says, it is time to work together.” My compliments to you for recognizing this.

Got it is right, considering a poll worker in Cincinnati voted for Obama 6 times. Can’t wait to hear all the moaning and groaning, except for the ones on the take from the gov’t that has never paid for anything in their life.

Come on Homer you must know that all liberals have to have someone to blame. They are not smart enough to know the difference what is good for our nation and what just is the good old boy mentality. Not saying that Republicans know any better.
