Ironton police

Breaking and entering — 2000 block South Seventh Street, Feb. 9, out building broken into and power tools taken.

Theft — 2500 block South Fifth Street, Feb. 12, cell phone and tackle box taken from unlocked car.

Theft, criminal damaging — 1000 block Ironton Hills Drive, Feb. 9, car window broken and purse taken from Buffalo Wild Wings parking lot.

Alarm check — 2000 block South Ninth Street, Feb. 20, glass on door busted but no entry made.

Dog running at large — 2500 block South Fifth Street, Feb. 1, woman reported being bitten by neighbor’s dog which was loose.

Theft, misuse of credit card — 300 block North Second Street, Feb. 1, wallet taken and money withdrawn from bank.

Assault — 300 block Spruce Street, Feb. 3, woman alleged man who was giving her a ride home pulled onto Spruce Street, stopped the vehicle and began to rub the woman’s leg, woman alleged when she got out the truck, the man followed her and punched her in the eye.

Endangering children — 200 block Mastin Avenue, Feb. 5, police respond to a request from children service to investigate an Ironton Elementary School student with a black eye and what appeared to be a belt mark on his side, father of child questioned by police and alleged the child was in trouble for his behavior at school, the father alleged he hit the child in the eye accidentally and only meant to hit the couch to scare the child, father also alleged he only meant to hit a wall with his belt and accidentally struck the child, Mikey Wilson, 24, of the same address, arrested.

Theft — Workforce Development Center, Feb. 8, employee who was fired allegedly stole a $300 camera, camera recovered, Ellis Smith, 28, of 9669 State Route 141, Kitts Hill, arrested.

Felonious assault — 800 block Washington Street, Feb. 12, woman alleged father of her child pushed her head into a wall, reported from emergency room stated woman had a separated shoulder, William Dickerson, 38, of the same address, arrested.

Domestic violence — 500 block South Fifth Street, Feb. 15, police called to investigate a possible domestic dispute, officer could hear subjects arguing from outside, woman opened door for officer and had a bloody nose, male subject allegedly had a strong smell of alcohol and was acting belligerent, Justin Smith, 25, of the same address, arrested.
