Lady Panthers top Tolsia, 10-0

GLENHAYES, W.Va. — It was a team effort.

Seven different players had hits as the Chesapeake Lady Panthers blanked the Tolisa Lady Rebels 10-0 in six innings on Tuesday.

“We hit the ball really well up and down the lineup. We need to develop that consistency,” said Chesapeake coach Aaron Rice.

Melanie Noble was 3-4 with two doubles, Macy Allen 2-4 with a double, Breanna SKeens 2-3 and Anna Mayo 2-4 to lead the 12-hit onslaught.

Allen and Noble combined pitching talents for a two-hitter.

Noble doubled and Hall an RBI single to start the scoring in the second inning. Hall moved up on a passed ball and Skeens had an RBI single.

Skeens singled, Laura Rice walked and Mayo had a two-run single in the fourth and it was 4-0.

The lead went to 7-0 in the fifth. Allen singled, Noble doubled her home and Brock reached on an error for a run. Rice singled in the final run.

Chesapeake (4-8) scored three more runs in the sixth.

Huff walked and Allen had and RBI double. Noble singled in a run, Hall reached on an error and Brock got a run-scoring single.
