Cynthia Spence

Cynthia Spence, 79, of Kitts Hill, passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2013, at the King’s Daughter Medical Center, Ashland, Ky.

Mrs. Spence was born Feb. 3, 1934, the daughter of the late Raymond and Pauline “Fullen” Harbolt.

Cynthia was a 1952 graduate of Rock Hill High School and was a homemaker. She was a member of Mamre Baptist Church, Kitts Hill.

She was preceded in death by her husband Orville “Bob” Spence in 1991; a brother, Donald Harbolt; a brother-in-law, Donald Dickess; a sister-in-law, Thelma Harbolt; a nephew, Terry Harbolt; and a son-in-law, Larry Gore.

She is survived by a daughter, Katherine Gore of Kitts Hill; a son, Robert Spence of Kitts Hill; two granddaughters, Nicole Gore of Kitts Hill, and Jessica Spence of Waterbury, Conn.; a grandson, Robert “Tony” Spence of Kitts Hill; a sister, Rhoda Dickess of Kitts Hill; a brother, George Harbolt of Wyoming; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Tracy Brammer-Monroe Funeral Home, with Brother Jamie Pancake and Brother Clifford Gore officiating. Burial will follow at the Mamre Cemetery, Kitts Hill. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Gloria Roxanne Brinegar Grinstead, 52, of Kenova, W.Va., died Monday, July 8, 2013, at home. Arrangements are pending at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville.

William D. Willets, 59, of Burlington, died Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at King’s Daughters Medical Center, Ashland, Ky. Per Mr. Willets’ request, there will be no visitation of service.
