PINE GROVE — The weather proved to be the biggest hazard, but the Ironton Ladies Nine Hole League of the Ironton Country Club played on through.

Due to much standing water and very humid conditions, only a handful of the club members met for last Tuesday’s weekly golfing events.

Nancy Livingston served as hostess and provided refreshments during the business meeting.

Livingston then selected the day’s events and following the morning golfing she announced the winners: Rose Auble, Joyce Lewis and Livingston.

The club members took time to express their appreciation to Burl Bunker who works in the club’s pro shop and assists each week with having the golf carts ready and their golf bags attached as the women head onto the course for their golfing events.

Next week’s hostess will be Johnna Jones. Business meeting is at 9 a.m. followed by golfing at 9:30. New members are always welcome.
