Pointers use big 2nd half to beat Flyers

The South Point Pointers seemed to get stronger as the game continued.

After leading just 1-0 at the half, the Pointers scored three goals in the second half beat the St. Joseph Flyers 4-0 Thursday in a soccer game.

Micah Harris scored at the 29-minute mark with an assist from Trey Kearns to give the Pointers the first half lead.

South Point scored early in the second half as Marq Harris had an unassisted goal at the 38:00 mark and it was 2-0.

Liam Huff’s goal off an assist from Alex Whitt extended the lead to 3-0 at the 44-minute mark. Kearns added the final goal at the 68-minute mark with an unassisted goal.

Brady Rickard had three saves for the Pointers (6-1-1).

South Point visits Chesapeake on Tuesday.
