Will Ridgeway now has three of a kind and they’re all aces.

What sounds like a good poker hand is really success on the golf course. Ridgeway, an Ironton resident, recorded an ace on Friday, Oct. 18, at Sandy Creek Golf Course as he hit his hole-in-one on the 112-yard, par 3 sixth hole using a 9-iron.

The feat was witnessed by Bob Kazee, Gary Boyd and Mark Ridgeway.

It was the third ace Ridgeway has recorded since 2002. His other two came at Diamond Links and River Bend.

Not only did Ridgeway get a hole-in-one last week, he nearly made it four of a kind on Monday. He hit a shot that bounced against the flagstick and rolled all the way off the green.
