Charles McFann

July 21, 2013 — Oct. 14, 2013

Charles Eoin McFann, 2 months old, passed away Oct. 14, 2013, at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, Calif. He was born July 21, 2013, in Los Angeles, Calif., and was the son of Brett and Carolyn O’Neill McFann.

He was baptized by Father John Sigler at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

In addition to his parents he is survived by maternal grandparents, John and Anne O’Neill, of Edmond, Okla.; paternal grandmother, Lisa Wackler, of Maumee; aunt, Erin O’Neill of Inverness, Ill.; uncle Sean O’Neill, of Jersey City, N.J.; paternal great-grandparents Roy and Bea Phillips, of Pedro; maternal great-grandmother Elizabeth Arment, of Littleton, Colo; aunt McKenzie Wackler, of Dayton; aunt Leah McFann, of Colorado Springs; aunt, Maggie Wackler of Maumee; and uncle Sam Wackler, of Maumee.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Saint Joseph Catholic Church with Father David Huffman officiating. Burial will follow in Rogers Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 6 until 8 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home. Donation may be made in Charles’ name to the Ronald McDonald House Charities INC. 26345 Network Place Chicago, IL 60673. Victorial Scheitler-Slem

Sept. 27, 1949 — Oct. 20, 2013

Victoria LaVon Scheitler-Slem, 64, of Pedro, passed away Sunday, Oct. 20, 2013, at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Russell, Ky. The Marion native was born Sept. 27, 1949, the daughter of the late Delbert L. and Ardelle Miller Scheitler. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Slem.

Victoria was a graduate of Symmes Valley High School and Ohio University Southern in Ironton. She was a self-employed farmer and of the Methodist faith.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Scheitler; two sisters, Sondra Wise and Jennie Schatzer; and companion, Larry Leibee.

She is survived by two brothers, Karl Scheitler, of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Marlin Scheitler, of Newport News, Va.; and two sisters, Marilyn Dedmon, of Austin, Ariz., and Melody Galloway, of Calhan, Colo.

Maude Spears

Maude “Micky” Jordan Spears, 91, of Huntington, W.Va., died Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2013, at home. Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, by Pastor Manfred Langer. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, W.Va.
