At our Monday meeting, James B. Miller, kk4ppj, and James Boggs, kd8wfp (known as jay), joined.

They now have ham radio equipment and are sure to be an asset to the Southern Ohio Amateur Radio Association-Amateur Radio Emergency Services.

Both names and calls have now been added to our member list on our website at

Our Ohio valley ARES – races net is every Thursday at 8:30 p.m. on repeater 146.715. Tones of 103.5 are needed. All hams are welcome to check in.

The next meeting will be at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 17 in the rear room of 911/EMA, 515 Park Ave., Ironton.
