Bisons shoot way by Vikings, 76-68

BUFFALO, W.Va. — It wasn’t the O.K. Corral, but it was still quite a shoot out.

The Buffalo Bisons had four players in double figures as they outscored the Symmes Valley Vikings 76-68 Tuesday.

“They’re a quick, talented bunch. They can shoot,” said Vikings’ coach Donnie Saunders.

“We played pretty good defense. We were guarding them but they just hit their shots.”

Tyler Rowe had a game-high 27 points to lead the Vikings 11-7). Kurt Adams scored 14 points including four 3-pointers and Jonathan Kouns added 11 points.

Joseph Good scored 24 points to lead Buffalo (10-6). Bradley Harris had 16, John Hodges 15 and Isaiah Robinson got 13.

Robinson and Harris combined for 13 points in the first quarter as Buffalo took a 16-11 lead. Rowe had six points and Adams five for the Vikings.

Rowe scored eight points and Adams drained a pair of triples in the second quarter as the Vikings cut the deficit to 34-29 at the half.

Jacob Klaiber scored six points and Kouns five as both teams scored 20 points in the third quarter and it was 54-49. Good had a pair of 3-pointers in the quarter.

Rowe scored eight points including 5-of-5 from the foul line in the fourth quarter, but Good scored 10 points, Harris six and the Bisons hit 6-of-6 free throws.

In the reserve game, Symmes Valley (17-1) beat Buffalo 64-47 as Shawn Belville scored 16.
