Man gets prison time for burglaries

A Huntington, W.Va., man admitted to crimes that carried a five-year prison sentence Wednesday in Lawrence County Common Pleas Court.

Christopher Snead, 27, 2950 Seventh Ave., pleaded guilty to two second-degree counts of burglary. One count of burglary was dismissed.

Judge D. Scott Bowling sentenced the man to five years in prison for each count, to be served concurrently.

In other cases:

Donald Sharp, 34, of 309 Second Ave., Chesapeake, pleaded guilty to a fifth-degree count of receiving stolen property. A fifth-degree count of theft was dismissed.

Bowling sentenced the man to four years community control sanctions under intensive supervised probation, STAR and 200 hours community service.

Samantha Zornes, 23, of 3003 S. Fifth St., Ironton, pleaded guilty to a fifth-degree count of forgery. Two counts of misdemeanor theft were dismissed.

Bowling sentenced the woman to four years CCS/ISP, 200 hours community service and STAR.

Kimberly Robinson, 28, of 112 Township Road 184 W., Pedro, admitted CCS violations and was sentenced to complete the STAR program.

George Yancey, 27, 207 Third St. E., South Point, admitted CCS violations and was sentenced to six months in prison.

Jason Reed, 34, of 3996 County Road 64, Willow Wood, pleaded guilty to a fourth-degree count of disrupting public services. Bowling sentenced the man to four years CCS, out-patient counseling and 200 hours community service.

Natasha Estep, 29, of 408 17th St., Kenova, W.Va., admitted CCS violations and was sentenced to nine months in prison.

Chadwick Goodrich, 36, of 2437 S. Fifth St., Ironton, pleaded guilty to a third-degree count of tampering with evidence and fifth-degree possession of drugs. Bowling sentenced the man to four years CCS/ISP, 200 hours community service and STAR.

Alan Myers, 26, 2807 S. Fifth St., Ironton, pleaded guilty to a fifth-degree count of receiving stolen property, which was amended from a count of fifth-degree breaking and entering.

Bowling sentenced the man to four years CCS, 200 hours community service and STAR.
