Mr. and Mrs. Mack Dickess celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary on April 16, 2014. They were married April 16. 1946 in Catlettsburg, Ky., by the Rev. H.D. Mathery.

Mrs. Dickess is the former Lillian Chapman and Mr. Dickess is retired from the Armco Steel coke plant. They attend Sugar Creek Missionary Baptist Church. They were the agents and owners of Dickess Insurance Agency at Sugar Creek.

They have two children, Mike Dickess and his wife Linda of Ironton, and Ronald Dickess and his wife Kim of Ironton. They have three grandchildren, Bryan Dickess, Lindsay Dickess and Nathaniel Dickess.
