The Symmes Valley Little League football will conduct board of directors elections at 1 p.m. on Sunday at the high school.

D-B girls to sponsor

women’s alumni game

The Dawson-Bryant High School girls’ basketball team will sponsor a women’s only alumni basketball game at 6 p.m. Saturday at the high school.

Any woman who played basketball for Coal Grove in the past is invited to attend.

Anyone unable to run up and down the court who may not want to play is invited to participate in the free throw and 3-point goal shooting contests at halftime.

Admission will be free but donations will be accepted to help raise money to support the girls’ team.

 

Ironton girls basketball

camp planned June 9-12

The annual Ironton Lady Fighting Tigers’ basketball camp will be from 9 a.m. to noon on Monday through Thursday, June 9-12, at the Sports Center.

The camp is open to any girls in grades 3-9 as of the fall of 2014. Fee is $25.

Each camper will receive one cold beverage each day and a T-shirt at the end of camp.

Participants will receive a free breakfast before camp at 8:30 a.m. and lunch after camp each day.

Camp applications are available in the Ironton schools or contact Doug Graham at the school (740) 532-3911.

 

Chesy Little Panther

The Chesapeake boys’ basketball Little Panther Camp will be from 3-5 p.m. on May 6-8 in the high school gym.

The camp is open to boys currently in grades 2-5. Fee is $25. Checks should be made out to the Chesapeake Athletic Boosters.

Entry forms are available online of the school website.

Return forms to Mrs. Shields at the elementary or Mr. Justin Davis at the middle school. Forms will be forwarded to coach Ryan Davis at the high school

Camp begins after school and campers will be available for pickup from 5-to-5:15.

Current Chesapeake coaches and players and former players will conduct the camp.
