Stacy Varney

Stacy Ruth Varney, beloved daughter of Connie Davidson Varney and Bob Varney, passed into God’s loving arms on Friday, July 25, 2014. She was born in Ironton on Feb. 4, 1977, and moved to Beulah, N.D., in 1982. Stacy graduated from Beulah High School and the University of North Dakota and later moved to Florida, where she resided with her parents in Palmetto, Fla.

She is survived by her parents; brothers, Gregory (JoAnn) Varney, of Northfield, Minn., and William Brad (Jessica) Varney, of Ashland; her paternal grandmother, Geraldine Varney, of Long Bottom; her maternal grandmother, Garnet Davidson Addis, of Ashland; and her special aunt Patricia Meyers. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

She left behind eight children who called her Aunt Stacy and loved her as much as she loved them in return, Will, Jasmine, Madison, Canaan, Maggie, Francis, Marion and Austin. She will be in their hearts forever. She is also survived by her lifelong friends, Crystal Lind and Alyson Brehm.

She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Winston Varney, of Long Bottom, and William F. Davidson, of Ironton; and her precious puppy, Bailey Varney.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday by pastor Kevin Meyers at Woodland Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

 

 

Grace King

Grace Isabella King, 1 month 28 days old, of Proctorville, died Sunday, July 27, 2014, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington, W.Va. She is survived by her parents, BriAnn Davina Evans and Bradley Dee King. A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Rome Cemetery in Proctorville. Burial will follow. Wilma Gray

Wilma Jean Gray, 87, of Flatwoods, Ky., previously of Zephyrhills, Fla., died Monday, July 28, 2014, at her residence. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Carman Funeral Home in Flatwoods.
