The third annual hog roast hosted by Freddie Hayes Jr. will be this Saturday at the Lawrence County Fairgrounds.

Five hogs including this year’s Grand Champion will be roasted at the event that starts at 5 p.m.

County officeholders are invited.

“All will have a chance to talk and meet with the people,” Hayes said.

Last year 800 came to the hog roast and Hayes anticipates that figure to reach 1,000. Country music singer Julie Reeves will entertain.
