Citizens must fight for God-given rights

My fellow American,

I am 24 years old and am concerned for the future of my country. I love this country in which we live and all that it was intended to be.

The country in which our founders and framers intended it to be; a country for the people by the people. A country of freedom. So goes that old saying, “Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”

Our current national government administration is day by day doing its best to take more of our freedoms away, our God-given unalienable rights. Man does not give us our rights; laws do not give us our rights. Our rights are given to us by God. The burden of the future of our country is currently on our shoulders and on our watch.

To preserve a bright and free future for our kids, families, and ourselves, it is up to us to hold those in power accountable. From our local elected officials and state officials, to our national elected officials, these people in which we have elected into office work for “The People” and those people are you and I. It is also up to us to be accountable ourselves, educating ourselves of our rights and freedoms and gaining a knowledge of the history of our country as well as the founding of our country.

Let’s just think of why this country was founded in the first place in a simple way. People were sick of being controlled by a tyrant and overbearing king and finally said we’re not going to take it anymore. So, lets start today my fellow American.

Let’s band together, gain knowledge and keep those in office accountable so that we will always have life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
