If you find yourself struggling to decide where to eat on Saturday afternoon, head down to the Ironton Farmers Market and have a little bit of everything.

Saturday marks the inaugural Taste of Ironton, which runs from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.

Spearheaded by Ironton aLive, the festival will showcase 17 vendors from Ironton, including some familiar local restaurants and caterers.

Some of the city’s newer eateries will also be apart of the event, so if you haven’t had a chance to taste the offerings of The Depot or Big Boy, what better way to sample the fare than by buying small portions?

Prices will range from $1-$4 per sample, so for the cost of one meal out at a restaurant, one could potentially have a taste of several different styles of local cuisine.

Restaurant festivals have proved successful in cities all across the country and with the community’s support, Ironton’s own can do just as well. It will take the community’s involvement to make this an annual event.

Instead of going across the river for lunch on Saturday, stop by and support the Taste of Ironton and all the local business owners who worked hard to showcase their best.
