National average dips

COLUMBUS (AP) — Gas prices in Ohio are running higher than last week.

The average price for a gallon of regular gas in Ohio was about $2.47 in Monday’s survey from auto club AAA, the Oil Price Information Service and WEX Inc. That’s 8 cents more than a week ago and 23 cents more than a month ago. A year ago, the state average was $3.05 for regular fuel.

The state average has increased in recent weeks even as the national figures dropped over the same span.
