Monday

AA will meet Monday at 8 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in the basement.

IHS Class of 1947 will have its monthly ladies’ meeting and luncheon Monday at 12:30 p.m. at Manzetti’s.

Al-Anon will meet Monday at noon at St. Paul Lutheran Church in the Sunday school room behind the church.

American Cancer Society will meet Monday at 7 p.m. at River Valley Health System in Conference Room A on the first floor.

Coal Grove Betterment Club will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at the Jae Roush Community Building.

Concerned Citizens of Ironton will meet Monday at River Hills Community Center on Ninth and Madison streets.

Elizabeth Township trustees will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday at the Pedro firehouse.

IHS Class of 1946 will have a luncheon meeting at noon Monday at Phil’s Landing.

Ironton High School Class of 1974 will meet Monday for a reunion meeting at 7:30 p.m. at the home of Mary Ann DePriest, 2304 S. Sixth St.

Ironton-Lawrence County Memorial Day Parade Committee will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at VFW Post 8850. All Lawrence County citizens are welcome.

Lawrence County Democratic Womens Club will meet Monday at 7 p.m. in Dale Burcham’s clerk of courts office. For more information, call 533-1208.

Commodities will be distributed by the Lawrence Township trustees at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Mamre Annex and Andis Fire Department.

Child Welfare Club will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday at the home of Alma Moulten.

Ohio University Southern Campus will present its last concert in the 1998-99 series featuring Ohio University School of Music faculty and students Thursday at 7:30 p.m. OUSC will present a concert featuring Gail Berenson, piano, and Donna Conaty, oboe, in the Riffe Center Rotunda. The concert is open and free to the public.

South Point Ministerial Association will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at South Point UMC in the educational wing. The association will make plans for the National Day of Prayer services.

Southeastern Lawrence County Republican Club will meet at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Chesapeake Municipal Court building.

Friday

Conn Sparks and the Ohio Valley Boys will sing at the Windsor Grange April 9. Admission is free and refreshments will be available.

Upper Township VFD will have a fundraiser at Spare Time Recreational Center April 9 from midnight to 5 a.m. There is a $10 admission charge, which includes bowling, skating, Laser Storm and billiards.

Announcements

Founders’ Tea, with vintage wedding fashions, will be held at the Lawrence County Museum April 10 at 2 p.m. Seating is very limited and reservations must be prepaid. Cost is $10 per person. For reservations, call Virginia Bryant at 532-3514.

St. Joseph CWC is selling brooms. They may be picked up at Unger’s Shoe Store, Shamrock Carryout, Carolyn Melvin’s in Coal Grove, Florence Medinger or by calling Clara Selb at 532-7438.

Village of Hanging Rock council meeting, regularly scheduled for April 5, has been changed to April 12 at 7 p.m.
