Rush, Ky. — Kristia Susan Kouns, 50, of Rush, died Thursday, Aug. 28, 2008, at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland. She was the wife of Richard D. Kouns, who survives.

Funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Sparks Funeral Home. Visitation will be 11 a.m.- 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Thelma Smith

GRAYSON, Ky. — Thelma J. Smith, 64, of Grayson, died Monday, Aug. 28, 2008, at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland. She was the wife of Fredrick Smith, who survives. Funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Sparks Funeral Home with Clifford May officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland. Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

SOUTH POINT — Rebecca Ann Nance, 56, of South Point, died Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2008, at Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, W.Va. Memorial will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Hall Funeral Home.

Paul White

LUMBERTON, N.C. — Paul E. White, 64, of Lumberton, formerly of Lawrence County, Ohio, died Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2008 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center. He was the husband of Rita Kaye White, who survives. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at East Lumberton Freewill Baptist Church with the Revs. Jimmy Locklear, Tim Holden and Bob Bradley officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Faith Cemetery. Visitation will be 12-2 p.m. Saturday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Revels Funeral Home of Lumberton.
