Donald H. Abbott

May 22, 1934 – April 6, 2001

Coal Grove – Donald H. Abbott, 66, of Coal Grove, passed away Friday, April 6, at the Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus.

He was born May 22, 1934 in Ashland, Ky., the son of the late Charlie Howard and Letta Robinson Abbott.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 10, at 11 a.m. at the First Church of the Nazarene in Ironton.

Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery.

Friends may call Sunday, April 8, from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home. The body will lie in state one hour prior to Tuesday’s service at the church.

Abbott was an organ donor who’s gift will give sight to another.

Maggie Ethel Stepp

South PoinT – Maggie Ethel Stepp, 94, of South Point, died Friday afternoon at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital, Russell, Ky.

The Morgan County, Ky. native was born March 12, 1906, the daughter of the late Andrew and Susan Elswick Blevins.

Funeral services will be Monday, April 9, at 1 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Cade officiating.

Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens in South Point.

Friends may call after 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Dec. 14, 1918 – April 7, 2001

Therese Goldcamp, 82, of Ironton, died Saturday, April 7, at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital, Russell, Ky.

The Ironton native was born December 4, 1918, the daughter of the late Francis and Catherine Gallagher McElwain. She was the wife of the late Cornelius F. Goldcamp.

Arrangements are pending with St. Lawrence Church and O’Keefe-Baker Funeral Home.

Ralph Oliver

July 15, 1953-April 2, 2001

Ralph Oliver, 47, of Ironton, died Monday at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky.

The Hazard, Ky. native was born July 15, 1953, the son of the late Mason and Mary Rose Oliver.

Memorial services will be held at the convenience of the family. O’Keefe Baker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Delbert Bluebaum

Feb. 16, 1922-April 6, 2001

CATLETTSBURG, Ky. – Delbert Bluebaum, 79, of Catlettsburg, Ky., died Friday at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.

The Boyd County native was born Feb. 16, 1922, the son of the late Gilbert and Myrtle West Bluebaum.

Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Marshall Steen Funeral home in Ashland with the Rev. Willie May, the Rev. Clarence Griffith and the Rev. Jeff Davenport officiating. Burial will be in Bluebaum Family Cemetery, Catlettsburg.

Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with Masonic services at 7 p.m.

Memorial contributions can be made to the England Hill Freewill Baptist Church building fund, c/o Kentucky Farmers Bank, 2500 Broadway, Catlettsburg, Ky. 41129.

John Riley

March 1, 1968-April 6, 2001

PROCTORVILLE – John Fred Riley, 33, of Proctorville died Friday at his home.

The Huntington, W.Va. native was born March 1, 1968, the son of Jesse F. Riley of Dallas, Texas and Delores Barker Maynard of Proctorville, who both survive.

Funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at Schneider-Slack Funeral Home in Chesapeake with pastor Steve Wayne officiating. Entombment will be in Ridgelawn Memorial Park, Barboursville.

Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Patricia Lawless

DAYTON – Patricia L. Lawless, 61, of Dayton, formerly of Ironton, died Friday at Maria-Joseph Living Care Center in Dayton.

Arrangements are pending at Newcomer-Barclay Funeral Home in Dayton.
