Ben Mullins, left, a student of Collins Career Center’s law enforcement program, fingerprints Robbie Dunfee, 3, who is being held by Gary Toney, both of Burlington. Parents receive the fingerprint sheets for safekeeping in the event of an emergency. The fingerprinting was part of the Lawrence County Health and Safety Expo/Awareness Day at Sam’s/Wal-Mart in Burlington, hosted by the county’s Emergency Management Agency/911. The safety day gave firefighters from all around the county, hospitals, police and more than 30 other protectors of the public the opportunity to show their skills and let people know how they work.
