The Fairland Dragons utilized big plays to deal the Tolisa (W.Va.) Rebles a 28-7 non-conference win Friday.

Jeremy Louden was the biggest of the big plays as he ran for one long score and caught a pass for another touchdown.

Louden finished with 151 yards rushing on 13 carries. The Dragons rolled up 312 total yards including 189 on the ground. Quarterback J. W. Jones was 9 of 18 for 100 yards and two interceptions.

K. C. Jones caught three passes for 38 yards and Glen Chapman had three grabs for 31 yards.

Fairland, 2-3, needed only two plays for its first score. After an incomplete pass on first down, Louden bolted 62 yards on the next play for the touchdown. Darin Thomas kicked the first of four extra points and it was 7-0.

The Dragons put together an uncharacteristic 87-yard, 12-play drive on their next possession that ate up 5:51 off the clock. Thomas ran 8 yards for the score and also kicked the point after for a 14-0 lead.

Tolsia, 1-5, came up with its own big play when Sean Meddings intercepted a screen pass and returned it 38 yards for a touchdown. Meddings also kicked the extra point and the Rebels trailed 14-7 with 4:42 left in the half.

But the Dragons got the score back with a 59-yard, five-play march that ended on a trick play.

Jones threw to Chapman for 4 yards, and and Chapman pitched the ball to Louden who ran the final 32 yards for the touchdown and it was 21-7 at the break.

The Dragons put together a 66-yard, six-play drive to begin the second half for a touchdown. Thomas ran the final 2 yards as the lead grew to 28-7.

Jeff Crespo had a 15-yard interception return for the Dragons on the next to last play of the game to cap off the victory..

The Dragons play at South Point next Friday in their Ohio Valley Conference opener.

Tolsia was led by by Meddings with 52 yards on 13 carries and Daniel walker added 51 yards on 16 attempts. Meddings was only 6 of 21 passing for 44 yards.
