Rock Hill upset the Lady Panthers in three hotly-contest sets, 12-15, 15-8, 15-9. Chesapeake finished the OVC with a 6-2 record.

South Point was 5-2 with one game remaining. A win would leave the race in a two-way tie while a loss would give Chesapeake the title outright.

"It was a real team effort," Rock Hill coach Heather Hardy said. "Chesapeake played a great match. There were some awesome volleys and great spikes. I would have been happy if we had lost."

Jessica Rice scored 9 points in the first match to help Chesapeake win. Jennifer Howard served for 10 points in the second match to win 15-8 and then Kelly Greco had 6 points in the decisive game.

Ashley Mayenchein scored 6 points for Chesapeake in the final match.

Rock Hill plays River Valley at 2 p.m. Saturday in the sectional tournament at South Webster High School.
