Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department detectives and officers are searching for clues that will lead to arrests in the Pedro armed robbery case.

At about 12:30 Wednesday morning, two Caucasian male suspects entered Rich Oil on Ohio 93, according to the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department report.

The men were armed with nickel- or chrome-plated handguns and were wearing bandannas across their faces, the report said. One suspect reportedly had dark hair, while the other wore sunglasses. Each suspect wore a different color bandana – one red and one blue, the report said.

The suspects are of average height and had accents that suggested they could be from out-of-town, one report said.

After entering the store, the suspects pointed the guns at the cashier and demanded money from the cash register. They left the establishment carrying an as-yet-undetermined amount of cash, Detective Richard Holland said.

"The victims contacted the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office and Detective Jerry Pendleton went to the scene to investigate," Holland said.

No one was injured in the early morning incident, Holland added.

"They were lucky in that no one was shot or injured," he said.

Although deputies and detectives are following leads, sheriff’s department officials are encouraging anyone with any information concerning the incident to come forward.

Calls made to the department at 532-3525 can be made anonymously, and any information given will be kept confidential, officials said.
