"We visited one young girl, Danielle Johnson (see photo) and she was really happy to see the players," said Fry. "We asked her if there was one player she could talk to, who would it be. She picked Matt Wilson. The players all thought she would pick Andrew or Momir because they’re our leading scorers. They all got a real kick out of that."

Fry said he wants the players to perform other community services in the future.

"I think it’s good for the players to become a part of the community and not just go to school and play basketball. They’re living here now and they need to take an interest in what’s going on around them," said Fry.

The Trailblazers could use some visitors of their own Monday at 11 a.m. in Charleston, W.Va. plays the University of Charleston which is ranked No. 1 in Division II.

"They’re pretty good," said Fry. "They’ve got an All-American and they’ve been beating people pretty good. We’re beat up right now, but we’ll go and give it our best shot. The kids are looking forward to playing them."
