Redwomen Wednesday night.

Mandy Goin and Ashley Clay combined for 46 points and 18 rebounds as the Warriors won 75-56 in the Div. IV district semifianls.

Goin had 34 points and 11 rebounds herself to lead all scorers. Clay added 12 points.

"We played hard, but their size was a problem," said Rock Hill coach Tracey Mullens. "We started kind of slow but hung in there after that. It was just tough making a run."

Michelle Matkins led the Redwomen with 20 points and five rebounds. Jordan Edwards added 13 points and Mandy McDonie had 12. As a team they hit 51 percent from the field, making 20 of 39 shots.

Rock Hill fell behind early down 8-2 after a pair of 3-pointers from Jennifer Coffman.

McDonie hit a 16-footer and Matkins made three free throws to keep the Redwomen close.

Goin closed the quarter with a pair of free throws and a half-court 3-pointer making it 23-8.

Matkins scored the next seven points for the Redwomen. She hit from 16- and 15-feet and converted a 3-point play to cut the lead to 29-15.

Jordan Edwards, McDonie and Matkins each hit short jumpers to pull Rock Hill to within 12 points at 35-23 with 1:26 left in the half.

Again the Redwomen made a run. Early in the second half Jordan Edwards hit a 12-footer and a 3-point play and Matkins hit a pair of free throws to make cut the Warren lead to 45-32.

The next two and a half minutes decided the game as the Warriors went on a 11-2 run. Goin scored nine straight points during the run.

Rock Hill cut the lead to 14 points several times in the final quarter but could get no closer.

The Redwomen finish the season 17-5.
