So if you don’t hit her, you’re chances are pretty much zero.

The Tolsia Lady Rebels chances were at zero Thursday when the amount of hits Layne allowed were the same.

Layne, a junior righthander, pitched a no-hitter as the Lady Pointers cruised to a 15-0 five-inning mercy rule win over the Lady Rebels.

While Tolsia was unable to get a hit, South Point had no trouble making contact. The Lady Pointers banged out 15 hits including a 4-for-4 day by Nikki Lewis that included a double and a home run.

Sarah Stevens was 3-4, Whitney Morrison 2-2, and Shannon James and Erica Griffith each went 2-4.

Three walks and a two-run double by Lewis helped South Point to a 3-0 first inning lead.

Lewis had a three-run home run and Morrison a two-run double to highlight a six-run second inning that put the lead at 9-0.

An error, a walk, and singles by James, Morrison, Lewis, and Sarah Baise produced four more runs in the third inning and it was 13-0.

The final two runs came in the fifth inning when Lewis and Erica Griffith singled and Stevens tripled.
