Students and student-teacher Leroy Baise from Mindy Chapman’s second-grade class at Fairland East Elementary cross the creek below the Lake Vesuvius Dam last week. The students were on a nature hike organized by the Ohio University Southern Campus Nature Center. The center is located at the lake and is run in partnership with the Wayne National Forest.
