A close play at second base, Leesburg Fairfield’s Justin Bennington (right) slides safely into the bag just ahead of the tag by Symmes Valley shortstop Noah Henson (left). Bennington stole second base in the first inning and scored the Lions first run as they pushed across four runs and made it stand up in a 5-2 win Thursday in the Division IV district championship.
