Cecil Quick

Nov. 13, 1911-May 20, 2999

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Cecil B. "Pappy" Quick, 88, of Huntington died Saturday at St. Mary’s Hospital.

The Greenbriar County native was born Nov. 13, 1911, the son of the late Sinclair B. and Mamie Zimmerman Quick. He was the husband of the late Anna Ruth Jack Quick.

Graveside service will be 1 p.m. Friday at Rosewood Cemetery in Lewisburg, with the Rev. Robert Winters officiating.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Schneider-Slack Funeral Home.

Blanche Noble

April 1, 1906-May 20, 2000

CHESAPEAKE – Blanche M. Noble, 94, of Chesapeake died Saturday at Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, W.Va.

The Chesapeake native was born April 1, 1906, the daughter of the late Frank and Nancy Henson Reed. She was the wife of the late Cecil M. Noble.

Funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Schneider-Slack Funeral Home, with the Rev. E.S. Harper officiating.

Burial will be in Union Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

James Kennedy

Jan. 16, 1915-May 20, 2000

WHEELERSBURG – James Raymond Kennedy, 85, of Wheelersburg died Saturday at the River Bend House.

The Willard, Ky., native was born Jan. 16, 1915, the son of the late Andrew and Amanda Pennington Creech Kennedy. He was the husband of the late Alta L. May Kennedy.

Funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg, with elders Frank Newsome, Sabe Riley and Junior Murray officiating.

Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, with military graveside rites by James Dickey Post American Legion.

Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Ohio.
