CHESAPEAKE – A look at the roster looks more like a list of who’s who.
Some of high school basketball’s biggest stars in Ohio and West Virginia will meet Friday and Saturday in the fifth annual Ohio-West Virginia All-Star Series.
The first game on Friday will be at Riverside High School in Charleston, W.Va. The second game is Saturday at Chesapeake High School.
The girls game starts at 6 p.m. and the boys at 8 p.m. Admission is $5. Contact coach Norm Persin for the Saturday game tickets and Mike Price of Ravenswood High School for the Friday game tickets.
The Ohio boys team will feature Dayton Christian’s Roman Sato who will play at Xavier, Hudson’s Matt Marinchick who is headed for Ohio State, and Kentucky signee Eric Daniels of Cincinnati Princeton.
"Sato is as good as I’ve seen in these all-star games. He had eight dunks and nine 3s in one game. That just shows how athletic he is," said Persin who serves as the Ohio series director.
