Hamilton Township trustee Bob Blankenship talks with CME North American Merchant Energy LLC’s president and managing director William Martin, who wants to develop a power plant. The move would mean job attraction and millions of dollars during construction to the township area, Blankenship said. The company wants to build it on the old Goldcamp farm between old U.S. 52 and the Ohio River in Hamilton Township, and use American Electric Power’s Hanging Rock substation to distribute electricity on wholesale contracts to power brokers.
