America Reads teaching volunteer Kendra Anderson plays a syllable matching game with Katiea Stapleton, left, Aimee Julick, Gayle Stapleton and Darvy Morrow during classes Wednesday. The program, run by Americorps/VISTA, aims to continue children’s reading education through fun with words during the summer. Classes are Tuesday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
