Two men convicted of a March break-in received an early release Wednesday.

Timothy L. Mann, 18, of West Second Street, South Point, and Carlos J. Richart, 19, of Bath Avenue, Ashland, Ky., were sentenced on felony breaking and entering charges after an April 20 indictment.

According to police reports, the two broke into Leo’s Carryout in South Point March 14 after closing. An alarm alerted neighbors.

Mann and Richart appeared before Judge Richard Walton in Lawrence County Common Pleas Court Wednesday for an early release hearing, Lawrence County Prosecutor J.B. Collier Jr. said.

Walton granted their early release and sentenced them to three years community control sanctions under intensive supervised probation, to undergo alcohol and drug counseling and to pay supervisory fees.

Also in court Wednesday:

– Edward Holsinger, 30, 317 Heplar St., Ironton: was sentenced to one year in prison after a community control sanction revocation hearing, Collier said.

Holsinger was originally sentenced to community control sanctions, including 90 days in jail, Aug. 4 for five counts trafficking in marijuana, fifth degree felonies; one count trafficking in drugs, fifth-degree felony; two counts aggravated trafficking in drugs, fourth-degree felonies; and one count possession of drugs, fifth-degree felony.

Holsinger was found in violation of his probation and was sentenced Wednesday to 10 months in prison on the fifth-degree felony charges and 12 months in prison on the fourth-degree felony charges. Each sentence will be served at the same time.

Holsinger received credit for time already served.

– Perry J. Pruitt, 19, 4920 Ohio 243, Coal Grove: pleaded guilty to theft, fifth-degree felony, two counts forgery, fifth-degree felonies, one count theft, first-degree misdemeanor. Pruitt was sentenced to three years community control sanctions, 12 months in the county jail on the felony charges, six months in jail on the misdemeanor charge to be served at the same time. After serving six months, Pruitt will be released to the SEPTA program, which will satisfy the term if successfully completed.

– Albert H. Bull Jr., 39, 2002 County Road 33, Oak Hill: pleaded guilty to driving under the influence with three priors within six years. He was sentenced to three years community control sanctions under intensive supervised probation, six months in the county jail, six-month drivers’ license suspension and court costs.

After four months in jail, if Bull can complete two months in a treatment facility he will satisfy his sentence. He received credit for 37 days already served.

Appearing in court June 27:

– Eugene Dalton, 29, 3148 County Road 4, Pedro: pleaded guilty on a bill of information charging him with driving under the influence with three priors in the past six years, fourth-degree felony. He was sentenced to three years community control sanctions, ordered to obtain drug and alcohol counseling, six months in the county jail, court costs, cost of counseling. His sentences will be served concurrently with any Ironton Municipal Court sentence. His vehicle was forfeited to the state.
