Prior to joining the Tribune, Jodon was publisher and editor of The Daily Reporter in Coldwater, Mich.

Jodon said, "I am really looking forward to working with the staff at the Tribune to improve the newspaper and make it more relevant to our readers and advertisers. The Tribune is already a good newspaper. My goal will be to make it even better.

"I’m also looking forward to getting as involved in community activities in Lawrence County as I was in Coldwater."

In Coldwater, Jodon was co-chair of the Branch Community Relay for Life for two years and finance chair for one year. He also served as vice chair of CYES, a school, community and business partnership that sponsored workforce development programs and after-school programs for at-risk youth.

In addition, he was a member of the Coldwater Township Sunrise Rotary Club, the Rotary Foundation, the Family Services Network, the City of Coldwater’s Rec Center Committee, Success By Six and St. Mark’s Episcopal Church.

Jodon has held editorial management positions at newspapers in Easton and York, Pa.; Akron, Ohio; Duluth, Minn., and Adrian, Mich. He began his career at the Williamsport (Pa.) Sun-Gazette, his hometown newspaper.

He was graduated from Penn State University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and from Lehigh University with a master’s degree in American history.

Jodon and his wife, Bettsy, who is an elementary school teacher, have three children: Beth Kennedy, Wallingford, Conn.; Brian Jodon, Dearborn, Mich, and Brit Jodon, Richmond, Va. They have two granddaughters.

Jodon replaces former publisher Jennifer Allen, who is now the publisher of the Daily News in Griffin, Ga.
