Officers from the Ohio Highway Patrol were called to the scene of a fatal crash late Wednesday.

Bobby P. Clary, 40, of 601 Private Drive 271, Scottown, was driving a 1987 Mazda B-2200 pickup near the old Mason Elementary School in Windsor Township when his vehicle overturned, according to the OHP report.

Emergency crews responded to the scene of the accident shortly after the 911 call at 8:06 p.m., OHP dispatchers said.

OHP Trooper L.R. Mikes responded to the scene.

According to her report, Clary’s truck was traveling in the southbound lane of County Road 2 when he drove off the right side of the road and struck a ditch.

His truck then reentered the roadway and overturned before it continued off the left side of the road, according to the report.

Clary’s truck then entered a privately owned field before it overturned a second time and came to rest on its wheels, the report said.

According to the report, when emergency personnel arrived on the scene, Clary’s body was found partially ejected from his vehicle.

Southeast Ohio Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene of the accident and removed Clary from the wreckage.

According to the report, Clary died as a result of injuries sustained from the accident.

Details and the exact cause of the crash are still under investigation.
