So what’s all this mean? It can only mean the Ironton Fighting Tigers homecoming game is Friday.

As for the Rock, it doesn’t have anything to do with the WWF champion, nor is Sylvester Stallone reprises his "Rocky" move role. This rock is for assisting the Ironton athletic program.

The Tiger Clan athletic boosters have a giant rock that features an engrave tiger head – in color – that is great for decorating an Ironton fan’s front yard. It will be given away the final home game.

Ticket donations are $1 each or six for $5. Proceeds go to the Jack Parker Fund to feed the athletic teams.

A homecoming dinner sponsored by the Ironton High School Guard will be held from 3:30-to-6 p.m. Friday in the high school cafeteria.

The turkey dinners with all the trimmings are $4 for youths, $5 for seniors, and $6 for adults. Take-out orders are available.
