Joining Ohio’s already affordable education plans, schools like Eastern Kentucky University and Ashland Community College have recognized Lawrence County and its neighbors as areas deserving of a tuition break, meaning now you can access rates equal to in-state school costs there.

This isn’t a directive to cross the river in search of higher education, but college administrators’ decisions in other states proves a point.

There are no gates barring the way that leads to improvement of your education.

For years, Ohio schools like Ohio University Southern Campus, Shawnee State University, Collins Career Center and others have sharpened the minds of thousands of young adults for an investment substantially lower than the return.

As a result, graduates – whether with four-year degrees or technical certifications – can look forward to a richer future.

Administrators, counselors, professors and school boards have made certain that your opportunity is there. Schools everywhere now are joining in that charge, paying less attention to boundaries and more attention to what it takes to succeed.

There’s no reason not to better yourself.

And there’s no better time to do it than now.
