Some students at Northeastern Local School District near Springfield just didn’t care about homework or studying last year. So the district did something about it.

Even though the expense was questionable, officials purchased 15 cell phones so teachers could make direct conctact with their students’ parents.

Whether using cellular technology, school conferences or the phones in their homes, the message is clear – teachers care, have always cared, about their community’s education.

And, Northeastern’s action holds another, perhaps more important, lesson.

When everyone works together, from administrators to parents, we all win with the boost its gives to our children’s future.
