What it really means, put simply, is sustaining the Tri-State’s best resource, and protecting future job growth.

The Ohio River Ecosystem Restoration program, included in recent federal funding, is a $308 million initiative designed to restore and protect river wildlife and habitat along the Ohio River.

The work should not cause problems for business. In fact, by improving the health of the river it ensures the continued success of our river as an economic development tool.

The river provides both commerce and recreation for interested corporate executives. Many pieces of legislation, not to mention federal agencies, already protect the river’s commerce power.

Protecting its environment is simply another side – a necessary side – of the coin.
