Wilson had 29 points Saturday night as he led the Spring Valley Timberwolves over the South Point Pointers 70-60 in the consolation game of the 24th annual Class AAA St. Joe Invitational.

"Wilson is hard to stop. You need someone 6-foot-4 who can move with him because he’s going to shoot over you," Pointers coach Mark Lafon said.

Brandon Moore added 10 points for Spring Valley.

South Point (8-6) had three players in double figures as Willie Anderson scored 13, Bryan Maggard 12, and Wilson Ehirim 10. Maggard also had 11 rebounds.

Pointers leading scorer Shane Holsinger was saddle with foul trouble and fouled out with five minutes to play. He had eight points and four assists.

"Anderson and Maggard did a great job for us. We did a good job going to them They had to step up with Shane in foul trouble," Lafon said. "Shane did a really nice job of giving the ball up because they were going to take him out of the game."

Holsinger was voted to the all-tournament team.

South Point was up 14-13 after the first quarter before the T-Wolves rallied to go up 31-23 at the half.

Wilson scored 18 points the second half to foil the Pointers comeback hopes.

Ehirim scored all his points in the fourth and Maggard had eight as the Pointers outscored the T-Wolves 28-24 and closed to within five points with 2:15 to play.

"We had a chance to cut it to two points and missed a wide-open three," Lafon said. "We took some 3s the first half that were contested and we didn’t do a good job of being selective. We forced shots."
