Twice a year, the Supreme Court holds sessions outside of Columbus. If a true pattern is followed, it could be another 44 years before the court convenes in Lawrence County again.

Students selected to attend the proceedings are privileged. Being able to watch the Supreme Court hearing real cases is an educational experience in itself, but having the opportunity to be a part of something that so few have (or will) is an honor.

Getting a first-hand view of the state’s judicial branch will give the students a better perspective of our legal system. Who knows, it may entice some to enter the law field.
