Capper has worked for the district since 1996 as the education coordinator. He was promoted to the district technician job after former technician Donnie Myers resigned last week.

In his new job, Capper will be responsible for different programs sponsored by the district. His job duties will include the engineering of stock tanks and coordination of the log jam removal program sponsored by the conservation agency.

"I am looking forward to serving the community in this position," Capper said.

Capper took over the position Monday after the board appointed him to the job.

Capper is a 1994 graduate of Symmes Valley High School and a graduate of the University of Rio Grande where he obtained a degree in biology.

Since Capper has moved to the position, the district is seeking to fill the education coordinator job. Board members said they would like to fill the vacancy as soon as possible.
